The CEO ignored my suggestions.

So the position remained vacant for 6 months

She hated all my candidates that were interviewed.

She said none of them met her criteria.

We clashed on this and I told her that there is no “perfect” employee.

How do you define “perfect’?

Long story, short: She finally hired someone who had all the qualifications “on paper.”

This applicant had quite an impressive resume. But sadly, he did not perform well. He was “perfect” but did not have good people skills.

He was gone after 60 days,

A perfect resume does not equate to success on the job.

A candidate may NOT tick every box on your checklist, but could possibly bring tremendous value to an organization.

Resumes do not perform jobs.

People do.

HIRE people and not resumes.
