Nonsense can be profound.
Consider the communication process during the hiring process. Obviously an employer wants to hire the haystack needle outstanding candidate.
So the process drags on and on and on. Canndidates have to fill out forms, sign documents, sign a release on a background check, take a personality test (on line- or in person).
In many cases an insulting array of documentation that is used to escape the possibility of a mistake in the hiring process.
Some candidates get so completely frustrated at the mundane and typical questions and forms to fill out that they are apt to make mistakes (and sometimes on purpose) in answering questions, hence:
The statement below is true. The statement above is false.
Read that for a moment and ponder it. After the exhaustion of filling out forms and taking personality tests, questions and suppositions begin to appear to be nonsense.
My advice to employers is to consider the point of view of your candidate and take it down a notch. There are just so many hoops that most people will jump through!!!!
