The single best piece of employment advice that I could give to a young person today would be to consider the senior housing market: Assisted Living, Skilled Nursing, Home Health, etc.
The industry is in dire needs of rehab professionals and of course nursing.
Consider the following:
The nursing profession has been in a critical state for years and with more than one-third of baby boomer nurses set to retire in the next three years, it could reach a critical mass. Those nurses say they want to leave the traditional nursing field and find a non-nursing job, work part time or as travel nurses.
That means opportunity!
