Whether or not you choose to send an email or a formal handwritten card, a thank you note is protocol after an interview and it’s the right thing to do.
So here are the 4 areas to cover in a thank you note:
1. Thank the employer for meeting with you.
2. Remember something personal mentioned in the interview and mention it in your note. “You and I share the same belief that………..”
3. Let the employer know that you are the candidate of choice. “I am convinced that I can be successful in this position because I can immediatley________”
4. A final “thank you” for the interview and a polite request to meet again to further discuss this outstanding opportunity.
